Royal Thai Navy and Yacht Racing Association of Thailand under the royal patronage of His Majesty the King with other government and private sectors with the support of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) are going hold Hua Hin Regatta 2009 on the beach of Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khirikhan during July 29 – August 2, 2009.

Queen’s Cup Hua Hin International Triathlon 2009
Every year, on the Anniversary of the birth of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on 12th August, Thai people from all walks of life join together to pay tribute and show respect by decorating their homes with lights and flags and organizing various kinds of activities to commemorate the day. Big Cleaning Day at Ha Hin Schools
At Tessaban Baan Hua Hin Schools, Hua Hin Mayor Mr. Jira Phongphaiboon together with Mr. Athikhun Bootying and Ph.D. Rungrote Siluangsawat, Deputy Mayors was overseeing municipal officers from Public Health Section and Village Public Health Volunteers advising students how to correctly wash hands and how to prevent spread of influenza A (H1N1). On 15 July 2009 in the morning at Rak Sunak Hua Hin (Love Dogs Center), Hua Hin Deputy Mayor Mr. Athikhun Bootying has presided over the opening of free birth control for cats & dogs 2009 project. At the opening ceremony were present Hua Hin municipal councilors, vets from other veterinary centers and Mr. Weeraphong Buarapha, district livestock officer for monitoring of birth control operations for pets. “Growing Love Growing Corals” by TAT
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently held “Growing Love Growing Corals” Thai Gulf preservation project at Talu Island in Prachuabkirikan Province. The main objective was to plant new corals near the Talu Island in the hope of promoting tourism attractions and eco-tourism as well as preserving natural resources, for being responsible for environment and society.

We have announced earlier that local journalist Khun Tuck Dechapanya has died on 02 July 2009. Khun Tuck Dechapanya was 80 years old. His funeral took place on 12 July 2009. HM the King has provided water for Khun Tuck's bathing ceremony, which took place on the 03 July 2009.

With deep sadness we announce the death of Khun Tuck Dechapanya, who died on 02 July 2009. Khun Tuck Dechapanya was 80 years old. A keen journalist, he was well known and respected among Hua Hin's Thai and foreign residents. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those who knew him.

The Director of WVO visited Rak Chart (Love Nation Club)
Gen. Chusin Khunathai, the Director of War Veterans Organization of Thailand (WVO), Ministry of Defense, has informed us that together with his team he has visited war veterans from Royal Thai Army, Navy and Air Force at Wing 5, Prachuap Khirikhan province. For this visit, victory flags of Love Nation Club had been passed to war veterans as a symbol of nation’s love.
