On Saturday 29 November 2008 Phase II of Hua Hin Market Village has (3rd floor) has been open for business. The cost of Phase II expansion was 150 million baht. First King’s Royal Project
On 5th of December 2008, all seventy six provinces of Thailand will celebrate His Majesty the King’s 81st birthday. Governor of Prachuapkhirikhan Province Khun Panchai Borworn-Ratanapran held press conference regarding planned birthday celebration which will begin on 06 December 2008 and will last until 04 January 2009. During this time, there will be traditional dancing shows, Jazz in Town, traditional music performances and much more. Foreigner resident shot recently in Hua Hin
Mr Donald Whiting who has lived in Hua Hin for 5 years has been shot recently. He bought property from foreign developer for 9 million baht, but the construction of the house has not been finished. The developer has abandoned the project for 3 years and did not construct the tennis court as per contract. Donald Whiting has given up his hope of having the property project finished and then buyer was needed for the property to get his 9 million baht back. Read news...

On Saturday 15 November 2008 thousands of Hua Hin residents of all ages dressed in the mourning colours of black and white joined the royal cremation ceremony of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana at Umparam Hua Hin Temple. An Abbot Prakru Pitack Workarn has built the Golden Malru (sacred mountain in the middle of the universe) funeral pyre. At the same time the main royal cremation ceremony was taking in Bangkok. On 12th of November Lord Mayor Jira Pongpaibul, Vice Mayors, members of Hua Hin Assembly, Hua Hin Municipality staff, Hua Hin - Cha Am Tourism Association, hoteliers, school children, students, teachers, Hua Hin residents have participated in the Loi Krathong Festival.
