Khao Tao

Khao Tao Hill is located about 13km south of Hua Hin. It is another tranquil spot with Thai temple, several caves, many buddha statues, shrines, fishing village and fresh water lake.

The main rock where the temple is located is in the shape of the turtle. This why the hill is called Khao Tao. Khao means hill, Tao means turtle.

Next to the hill are two quite beaches called Hat Sai Noi and Hat Sai Yai. There are some restaurants and bungalows located in the Khao Tao area.

The whole area in the pass was used as pineapple plantation. Now new housing developments are build all over the place.
